Edmund’s family has disappeared. His mother left him and his sister with their aunt while she went to America from their home in England. Edmund, his sister, Sis, and Aunty Pru went to America to attempt to find her. Aunty Pru set off and left them, saying she would be back in a few hours. She ended up being gone for three days and Edmund and Sis ran out of food. Sis convinced Edmund to go out and buy them some food even though Aunty strictly told them not to leave the house. When he returned home, Sis was gone. In trying to find her, he came along a man named Mr. Dupin and together they will try to solve the mystery of his missing family.
